Which areas do you work in?
We work across Johannesburg and greater Gauteng, including Randburg, Sandton, Fourways, Northcliff, Roodepoort, Midrand, Soweto, Krugersdorp, Centurion, Benoni, Kempton Park and Pretoria. Long-distance moves are quoted anywhere in South Africa.
Do you charge for quotes?
No. Site visits and written quotes are free within our service areas. For smaller jobs, a few photographs sent on WhatsApp are usually enough for us to price the work.
How much does tree felling cost in Johannesburg?
It depends on the height of the tree, how close it stands to a roof, wall or power line, how easily a vehicle can reach it, and whether the stump must be ground out. A tree in an open garden costs far less than the same tree overhanging a boundary wall, because the second one has to come down in sections on ropes. We give you a fixed written price once we have seen it.
Do I need permission to remove a tree?
Trees inside your own boundary can usually be removed without a permit. There are two exceptions: species protected under the National Forests Act need a licence from the national department, and any tree on the pavement or verge belongs to the municipality and needs its approval first. We check both before we quote, so you are not the one caught out.
How far ahead should I book a move?
Two to three weeks is comfortable. Month-end and the last weekend of the month book out first, so give more notice if your lease or transfer date falls there. We do take short-notice moves when a vehicle is free.
Are your teams insured?
Yes. Every crew is covered by public liability insurance and registered for COIDA. Certificates are supplied on request before work begins.
Do you offer monthly garden maintenance for complexes?
Yes. We hold monthly and fortnightly maintenance contracts for townhouse complexes, body corporates and business parks, with a fixed monthly figure and a set service day.
